I have a Windows 2008 R2 domain setup with this one server running DNS, AD, DHCP, Backup Exec and Sage MAS90 4.3 Through the group policy I map R: to\\my.domain.com\share . This is a share on the local server. I have 4 Win7 PCs and 10 Win XP. MAS 90 is partly running from this mapped drive. So after being in the application for a while and letting the program sit. You go to click on something in the menu and nothing moves for about 30 seconds. Finally the appliacation will come back to life. I have turned off all the TCP, IP and UDP offloading on the server network card. To me it sounds like it is timing out or loosing the connection to the drive and reconnecting.
If you just try to click on the drive from my computer sometimes it will take 30 seconds for the drive to respond.
On the XP PCs I have mapped the drives since they can not use the drive policy on the server to map the drive. I use the same syntax as the login script.
Why would this happen? I. It is driving me crazy. It also seems that the Windows 7 PC take long to reconnect than the XP PCs.
