Hi all,
We haver a client that uses storage server at a number of remote sites to get away with cheaper bills from their outsourcer.
Previously, they were using Windows 2003 or 2008 storage server, both of which supported the WDS role.... so we were also fine to use this as an SCCM PXE service point.
Unfortunately 3 new servers have turned up which are 2012 - and no WDS role is available.
As per usual with outsourcing, logic doesnt apply..... setting up a hyper-V guest OS will incur the "normal" fees, the client has already deployed too much to want to roll it back to 2008 R2 storage server (and im not sure where that leaves us
with licensing)
So - any bright sparks out there come up with a way around this that doesn't involve all the logical choices that have already been ruled out by the client ?
