'Limit profile size' early notification

I have enabled the 'Limit profile size' Group Policy and enabled the option to notify when it is exceeded.  However, I would like to notify the user before they exceed it, say when they reach 85%.  Is this possible?  Is there a way to determine the current size using PowerShell or VB Script?  I'm looking for something along the lines of the notification in FSRM quotas.
