Access Denied when adding Domain-Based DFS Namespace

Hello Everyone,

We have been running Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server A) as a main domain controller and file server. The file server was configured as a standard DFS Namespace server.

Recently we added an additional Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server B) domain controller and we would like to configure domain-based DFS Namespace on this server and migrate all data from Server A to domain-based DFS Namespace.  Problem:

During the domain-based DFS Namespace configuration, I got following error:

“Access Denied when adding a DFS Namespace server The user account specified does not have sufficient permissions to create a domain-based namespace. Please specify a user account that is a member of the Domain Admins groups” – See attached

I am logged on to this unit (Server B) as a domain administrator.Unfortunately, when I review error log, it does not say anything about dfs issue.

Thanks,

AJ
