Files not showing up in network folder until computer restart

File server:  Windows Server 2012 x64

Clients:  Windows 7 Enterprise x64

Shared folder:  A scripted, mapped network folder that has worked for the last 5 years.  In the last year have these issues come to the surface, and have been increasing in frequency.

I have an issue that is seemingly random and seems to point to SMB2 as the cause.  When my users scan a document from our printer it goes into a "scans" folder on our network share.  Usually the scanned document is immediately available from any computer on the network, but there's an exception where the scanned document or a group of documents will not show up for several minutes, or even a day or so, unless the user restarts their computer.

Now, only some of my users have this issue and it's not the same users every time.  Sometimes I can help a user feel reassured by browsing directly to the UNC path of the shared folder (\\shared\users\folder\) and see the file there, but they still don't see it in their mapped version of that folder until much later.

I need to fix this issue without disabling SMB2, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
