So, I only have a single server which handles everything, the primary boot drive is still operational but needs to be replaced. I'm not concerned about any configuration loss, everything can and should be rebuilt as it was originally stood up by a much younger and ignorant me.
My only and biggest concern is all of the data currently stored in a storage pool. This is a 30TB pool full of data. What will I need to know and prepare for before pulling the boot drive and replacing? I don't have any backup options large enough to temporarily hold this data while I re-image.
From articles, it sounds pretty straight forward. I just power off, pull the primary, re-image, and it will auto detect and configure the storage pool without any data loss when it comes back up. I am just looking for extra confirmation before I pull the trigger.
